Board member with a financial focus
The Careibu Foundation (formerly Stichting SeniorenStudent) is looking for a new board member with a financial focus. This is an unpaid volunteer position of on average 8 hours per month, with roughly half of the meetings taking place online and the rest on location in the Netherlands.
About Careibu Foundation
Careibu Foundation is an ANBI (Dutch public benefit organisation) that works towards meaningful connections between generations. We support projects that contribute to connection, care and reciprocity between young and old.
We work according to the principles of Holacracy: no traditional hierarchy, but clear roles, equality and plenty of room for initiative.
Is this you?
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers and people alike — keeping an overview of financial health, while also thinking along on direction, projects and social impact. You don't need to be a formal treasurer.
- You can bring financial expertise to the table
- You enjoy thinking strategically alongside others
- You have an eye for the broader social value of our work
What you do
- Safeguard the financial health of the organisation together with the board
- Critically review budgets, annual accounts and ANBI reporting
- Contribute to policy choices, projects and impact
- Translate financial information into understandable insights
- Take part in quarterly board meetings (online and in person)
What you bring
- Experience with or affinity for financial management, budgeting or accounting
- Clear communication and an interest in connecting numbers to strategy
- A social heart and a natural fit with trust and collaboration
- On average 8 hours per month available
