Lara brings warmth to Cordaan's residential care location

Anton de Komplein is a special Cordaan care facility in Amsterdam. Step inside and you're instantly transported to Suriname — residents and staff share that background.

Lara (25), an Environment & Resource Management student, has worked at this location through Careibu since February. She was placed by the senior-student foundation to support residents.

Residents sometimes forget Lara's name, but recognise her instantly the moment she walks in. "Just seeing her walk in puts a smile on my face."
