Memories of Paris

Annick joined the first city trip to Paris. During the trip, young people and seniors shared stories and experienced special moments together. Looking back at her photos, she wrote: "Every journey has a story."

The first day felt like a smile of recognition. At the Louvre they stood in front of the Mona Lisa; by the end of that day, the Eiffel Tower glowed golden above the water.

On day two they explored Versailles — walking through grandeur, not knowing where to look because of the breathtaking ceiling paintings. In the gardens too, they enjoyed sunshine and blue skies.

Annick noticed that during the trip, age faded into the background. "We could laugh together, we looked at art in the same way, and we had the same taste in food."

On a quiet Sunday morning they walked to Montmartre. The Sacré-Cœur stood bathed in golden light — a wonderful, sunny end to their days together.
