Guidance throughout
You are never on your own. Amsta activity coordinators and Careibu coaches support you and stay available.
Amsta and Careibu are looking for young people to give residents company — one-to-one or at group activities on site. No care diploma needed.
You get guidance from Amsta and Careibu throughout, at locations in Amsterdam close to home or study. You can choose group activities or buddy work, and after your programme you receive a recognised MDT certificate.
Amsta is Amsterdam's own care organisation — care, the Amsterdam way. With around 30 locations across the city, they support older people, people with intellectual disabilities, and others who need a helping hand. Each location is part of its neighbourhood.
Amsta works through "Samen Doen" (Doing Together): staff, family, volunteers, and neighbours form one network around residents. As a volunteer you add colour to daily life — through an activity, a chat, or a walk.
Careibu has worked with Amsta for years to connect young people and residents, tackling loneliness and bringing more life to each location.

Think games, music, walks, or cooking together — you make a real difference for residents.
After your programme you receive a recognised MDT certificate — great for your CV.
